About Red Cells
Red Cells are an alternative rock duo based in Leeds, UK. Formed in 2006, Red Cells sought to push themselves creatively and sonically as a 2 piece which landed them a live session for Tom Robinson on 6Music.
Then band name came about when Jon kept busting his fingers on the guitar stings when performing live at early gigs. The blood would splatter across the guitar...and so the name Red Cells

Then band name came about when Jon kept busting his fingers on the guitar stings when performing live at early gigs. The blood would splatter across the guitar...and so the name Red Cells was suitably chosen.
The band are once again inspired and re-energised with new, fresh sounding material set for release late 2020 and hopefully to perform live again in 2021. Red Cells are Jon Goodall (Guitar & Vox) & Steve Pickles (Drums). 'White lies' is out now on Spotify & all major platforms.
