Mastering
It is a beautiful melody, great vocal. Don't know if it's my ear but there should be a mastering problem, it is not a perfect blend between the vocal and the melody. But with a little bit of adjustment on the same track it should be perfect.

Misty is a jazz staple and I listened to the entire song by Mr. Reggie Wright, and for the most part I enjoyed his rendition. He has a strong voice, and his accompaniment was very good. He had some good moments in the beginning as his voice seemed to reach for a singular expression of the lyrics; I kept listening for something. But it seemed to slip into a personal groove, and my attention kind of drifted. Misty is a song that can take on most any artist, and let them make it their own. Good job.

Love Reggie's vocals. The piano really accents his song and it is perfectly woven throughout this song. This song makes me wish I were in a candlelit pub with a cocktail and my honey sitting by my side. It would do Reggie justice to take this song to studio and have it professionally recorded. Great song!

Always seeing your image on the charts for blincoins just never checked in on you. Here's the perfect time for me to listen and see what Texas is doing. I like N1M because its direct network. I just dropped a music video titled GANGBANGIN and PIMPIN REMIX, a production by BugleBlack who predominantly is number one in Los Angeles Ca for Hip Hop and Jazz. I did this project last year around this time. Please view.

Thank you Mr. Reggie Wright. I found your work to be a refreshing soulful desert with some of the best Gospel spices to enhance the sweet flavors. The accompaniment is timely and present with ease and care. The wonderment of the ashy drums peak and woo. The elements for a climactic musical dialogue are very present and make it exceptable for any social group to paint their own story. Mr. Wright uses colors of Sam Cook, Aretha Franklin and Vanessa Bell Armstrong. I, so, love his integrity and innocense in developing the interpretation. I even appreciate the drops of Lela, Ella, Stevie and the occasional blue note. Very Well Done Mr. Reggie Wright. Be Blessed, KBH

I love the piano and I play it. when there is a piano jazz piece it is extremely difficult to play harmony and the solo part and very often the piece seems empty or repetitive. your music is extremely sweet and full of other pieces (I listened to other pieces) but in the current piece it feels really bad, everything is muffled. It is extremely difficult to give a judgment because I repeat you feel really bad and it's a shame because you perceive that you have class

Vivid live track!
Really nice interpretation of a great classic! Great creative chord progressions, they really sound great. And that voice - so much control, soul and power - WOW! This is the kind of music you chill to, with a nice cold beer at the ready! Just wonderfull! Too bad, I could'nt hear the joke that you told ind the middle of the song. Judging from the audiences reaction, it sure sounded fun! Keep up the good work!

Reggie Wright - Misty
I definitely want to Review more performers and composers, but once again I met Reggie in Misty and I would like very much to review his vocal performance, even though the recording is live and sounds very low level: While I do not like so much the combination of gospel and jazz in Reggie's (and others as well), the quality of his long notes needs to be pointed out once again; their color varies, the control of volume and vibrato and the beautiful balance on the musical phrases, are special in every musical context. Apart from Reggie's high level of musicality, which is heard in all of his songs, the control of the long notes offers uniqueness that deserves more exposure within the Jazz community. In some cases, not only here, in Misty, the manipulating of long notes, typically in Gospel, is somewhat narrow the effectiveness of the beautiful long stable notes, which in my taste, are the real quality of Reggie's vocal performance

A recording (anyway) worth to listen
As I wrote in my previous review concerning R W's live recorded song, the audio technical quality could be much better. I think I understand performers' will to give listeners a sense of their live performances. RW's voice bends again in a slow way to the well presented curves of the chosen melodies. Here is his pianist in the same fitting atmosphere as RW.. Yes, the recording engineering is "home made", not satisfying. But something remarkable is caught on the tape. Therefore, I give these points to this recording worth to listen.

This was my dad's favorite song. He would sing it around the house as I was grow up. You have the a great voice and execute this song beautifully, in a live setting no less. Nice job. Would like to hear more from this singer. Easy listening indeed

full of feeling version !!
Not to lose the habit, this version of Misty, is full of a sensual, relaxed and peaceful environment. I love your performance, no doubt magnificent, the accompaniment of your musicians, it's spectacular, only the audio in general, as well as the mix, do not do justice to the song or to you. Hopefully they can record another version live but of better quality, since the atmosphere of the people always makes these recordings something very special. Affectionate greetings and congratulations!

Misty with a Fresh Light
Reggie has provided a wonderful blend of style and creativity. His naturally smooth style is put on display in this rendition. He has been able to provide life to a song that can become Musty. Reggie is able to communicate the appropriate blend of sadness, anticipation and loss. I am hoping that Reggie will continue to provide us with the classics.
