Rhiannon The middle of winter in wales. The most atrocious weather on the planet. Although, I'm sure there's other atrocious weather out there somewhere, but this is no sunny day. This is no day in the park.(far from any day on the beach). There are men falling out of the sky with muddy boots and wanton eyes. The winds pound on the windows with no mercy, as the rain pelts staggering scruples of all times gone, caught up again in another time to hurt you. The damp cold enfolds you; gropes with you when you're not even looking and don't expect to be fondled by death. And this happens every year; although everyone forgets; comforted by any sun that teases its way in. There are many of those suns. I could give them names, such as.... 'early, catch me,' 'hide when I can' 'see you later' sorry i'm gone' 'will blind you now' ..and many more names I can't think of right now. It's dark. Its cold. It has rained for 40 nights, and its time for the folks to start building their arcs. Still, there is music and song, and 'hwyl'. Happy New Year to you all, wherever you are.
