Ricardo Marques, self-taught guitarist from Pernambuco, born on 12/20/1959, began his career in the late 70s when he participated in student music festivals in the city of Paulista-PE. In 1980, he participated in a 6-month tour, between São Paulo and Minas Gerais, with the group “A BANDA DO TEMPO’. On the way back, he participates in the event promoted by Rede Globo Nordeste “Vamos Abraçar O Sol” in the year 80. In 1982 he formed the group “Cotton Candy” producing the musical “Presença” at the Paulo Freire theater, in the city of Paulista, also participating as a guitar player of the group ”Olho Da Rua”. In the same year, he participated in the third Student Music Festival of Paulista, taking first place with the music, "Corações de Aço" of his authorship. In 1984 he also participated, as a guest guitarist of the rock group "Cão Mortos" during the tour of launch of the homonymous compact, with which he participated in the first video clip recorded in PE to play on MTV Nacional In 1985 he formed the group “Distúrbio Metal”, with which he participated in the following events: “8th UNICAP Winter Festival” , Show “Republica Metálica” at the Municipal Theater of Paulista (Paulo Freire), Forte de Pau Amarelo, DCE, Teatro Valdemar de Oliveira, Forte das Cinco Pontas. At that time, he also started playing with dance bands like Os Tártaros, Bares , Professional Recordings, Etc. From the 90s, he started to follow as a side-man, national and international artists such as: Catia de France, Nana Vasconcelos, Ìvano, Azulão do Nordeste, Cristina Amaral, Nono Germano, Erasto Vasconcelos, among others. In mid 1992, he created the band Kastarrara with bassist Beto, drummer Jau Melo, with whom he shared the production and repertoire of the group's 1st CD released that year, having quickly sold out copies, produced independently. From the 1st Cd of Kastarrara some songs continue to play as a soundtrack, in the program Auto Motor and Auto Motor Shopping Canal 9 / TV Bandeirantes -TV Clube, and also participates in the soundtrack of some TV Jornal channel 2 specials. Between 1999 and 2003 he participated alongside Nana Vasconcelos from concerts, film soundtracks and the commemoration disc to the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Brazil, on a CD with the participation of; Zeca Pagodinho, Fagner, Chico César, Emílio Santiago, among others, sharing with Nana, his musical direction. Also with the band of Nana Vasconcelos, participates in the film, "Nzinga, the African Queen" starring the global actress Thais Araújo. Parallel to this, he also participates as a guest guitarist for the 1st and 2nd CDs of the band Razamanaz, with which he played several shows as a contracted musician. In 2006 he released his second CD with the band Kastarrara, having the songs ULTRA LEVE and SANGUE HOT written by Radio Transamérica on the program "Rocks Stage"
