Song review

I like the up beat tempo and direct sound and vocals. They were dry and aggressive I like it. It gave me that old school feeling of old school straight to the point sound and the band was so on point great playing. So for this to not be something I'd directly listen to. I appreciate the music and positive feeling it provides. I'd like to hear more one day.

Nice Guitar

I love intro to this track, the horns were on point! And then the guitar was bringing up the sound. The lead and background vocals were very will mixed together and I enjoyed the lyrics as well! Keep up the good work! Well done! -Chandler-

Fantastic arrangements.

This is a great song. Well played and well sung. The sax solo brigs a great atmosphery to the song. Very well produced also. I like the way you build this song. The lyrics is totally connected with the song. It's really a great one. Congrats Richie.

Give Me The Directions Review

The music from this song provides great energy. The saxophone really gets busy and the background singer brings a highlight to the song as a whole. This message in the song tells how we all need to rely on each other at times.

Good Vibes

I like the cool female voices supporting the vocals. Cool recording, cool vibes. Good sax solo. I think you found your direction which way to go. Keep on this track and get airplay and success.

hey shout out for some country

I like how the vocal starts as a simple single vocal with almost no accompaniment, and then the band comes in , and do they come in .Very powerful, at first you think this is going to be a nice soft country ballad ( which would be fine , the message is a very nice sentiment ) but noooo. It's full on country rock , and boy do they do it well . This could use a little cleaner production , but that isn't so important because the band gets the message across so well. But it would help to get a better chance for commercial radio air play .

Expressive Song

This song from R. Hoffman has really surprise me. Great funky beat and brass tunes make the music engaging for me, but also the accompanying e-guitar convinces me. Richie´s vocal projection is perfect. The lyrics sounds like a story and give perception of different situations. Fantastic chorus-line with deep soul in the backing. Addintional solos of the saxophone coming at the right time. All instruments really stand out on this remarkable arrangement. Professionell mixed and mastered song influenced from blues rock and soul music must be a radio hit. Check it out and I´m sure you will add this!!

Different ......The track has an old school sound with a jazz sound, and a little funk. Sing a little stronger with more meaning because its the way the song is written. Because its different....it will be fine!. Over all i think its a go!

I assume vocally this is only scratch, but when you add some reverb and expose your vocal more it will be very nice piece of music. Nice rhythm and arrangement, good for life performer everywhere, events, and cruise ships. This someone special should be very happy. Just do a final editing and song will be all good. Choose a good studio mix.

very nice

A very nice rock song. very energetic gives some fresh differences from the mainstream. the vocals are good, the melody is good, the arrangement is good. the recording sounds as if though it was taken from a live show which I guess it was and the vocals are great for a live show. good work, continue making music.

Good Direction. Good vibrations...

"Give Me The Directions" is a good,fun-like tune. It sounds like something that you can sing along with. It also has spoof tendencies. Maybe this song could work in a comedic movie soundtrack. The lead singer makes his point. The female backgrounds/overdub singer truly backs him up. An instant,or so of doubled foot on the kick drum. Cool... Not too many frills, just fun. Good direction. Good vibrations...

Blues with direction from Richie and the gang!

The gentle opening with acoustic guitar and voice is almost a tease for what follows and for the increasingly fickle commercial listener this might be too much to cope with-maybe this should be the outro and not the intro!Once the groove starts we have a standard 12 bar blues driven along with a suitably angular guitar riff and some tight rhythmic patterns courtesy the drums. The brass arrangement is an added bonus and brings a suitably busy stab or two to proceedings. The production is clear and well balanced and gives the vocals plenty of headroom to deliver the message, the female vocals also provide an excellent counter balance. Both are performed with calm assurance and great affection. The sax feels at times like a step too far and over all the songs identity is very much rooted in some of the classic sounds of the seventies and eighties. Over all a nice piece of work from Richie and the gang.
