bel timbro di voce
bel timbro di voce per una canzone carina che si sviluppa abbastanza bene ma con una frase ripetuta molte volte pero' un grande sax salva un po' tutto l'arrangiamento buono comunque la voce e' bella

A Worthy Remembrance
Well, I have come to the point in life where I get this message all too well. But on top of that, it is a good song, a very good song, with great instrumentation, production, melody, harmony, and a performance worthy of the subject, the artist's Father, and the subject matter, dealing with the loss of someone so dear to you, and in this case, way too early. Unfortunately, I have a sense of that as well, as we recently observed the 3rd ann'y of our Son Scot's passing from a brain tumor, the same type as took Gord Downie and Neal Peart from us all. This song bears re-listening, for any of us with a similar loss, which we will all come to experience, eventually. This piece honours all our dearly remembered loved ones. Thank you. D.

Good song
Hey. It's me again. Must be that I'm becoming a fan of yours. This is a good song: You really have an interesting story to tell. The instrumentation is great: Love your voice and adore the saxophone solo ( I'm from Belgium where the saxophone was invented btw...) The composition of the song isn't bad though maybe it would have been even better if you'd put a more elaborate break in it: I believe that the more the composition is nuanced, the more the tune gets stuck in people's heads... Still: I'm really touched and I'm really curious for more of your music. Keep writing songs

Another really good song
It was a pleasure hearing this song from Richie Hoffman. The strong piano opening and the clean guitar work accompaniment blended well for the song. This song had an 80s feel to it but sounded relevant for any time period. The saxophone solo was a pleasant surprise and really fit well. I could listen to this artist all day. This was just another really good song from a consistent song writer/performer.

Absolute Tear-jerker
Where to even start?! I felt the emotion in that so deeply. Perfect choices for the music: chord progression, instrumentation, instrumental interludes, melodies. I like how descriptive and to the point the lyrics are. Some excellent one-liners in there, too. So sorry for your loss. Music is a wonderful outlet to process through those emotions. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you inspire another generation of musicians to write about real things. It's the best thing we can do.

I Remember review
This is obviously a very personal song you've written. The instrumentation on the track is excellent with enough textures to keep your listener interested from start to finish. Your verses were well written and recorded clearly so they could be heard and understood. If I were to add anything to you of suggestion, I would say to work on embellishing on your chorus. It is an interesting chorus but it needs to be bigger. It flys by so quickly that it doesn't stick in your mind. Musically, it works but if you worked on it a little longer, it would be that 'hook' that stays in your mind. Let me know if you build it up. I'd love to hear it. Good luck with your writing. You're good at it.

from the heart :)
This is a song straight from the heart, I can perceive all the pain you were feeling. It is professionally mixed and recorded, with a 80s feeling, but I would maybe try to record it with a different effect of the voice, more modern (this is just my taste). I really like the piano and the saxophone solo. It never really goes to a refrain (sounds more like a bridge), but this does not disturb me, because I think it matches the tone of the lyrics.Ciao :)

Pure beauty
One can tell this song is born straight from the very core of Richie´s heart as soon as the first chords are played. The audience has to thank Richie for wanting to share with us his most intimate feelings that are directly linked with one of the most important times in a human being´s life. I am sure thousands of people can see themselves mirrored in the moving story he´s telling us. I am really pleased to say I am a Richie Hoffman´s fan!! Well done, Richie!! Carry on creating beauty!!

Professionally done, nice lyrics, nice voice, in tune, I love the beat of 80's, and 90's. Do continue with great job! I will add chorus on bridge, and add more echo to sax, just different than is now. Perfect.

A well written song
Not so often I come across well written songs with good sound on this site. There is a sad story told here, but it´s a real story behind the lyrics that gives it gravity. "I remember" is a good example on how to get value for money using a studio for recording and spending many hours mixing and working on details. The arrangement is well thought through and there is some great details on this production. There is a lot going on, but you can actually hear it in the mix. It is always a matter of opinion, but I would have tried to find a different sound on the lead vocal to make it a bit warmer and without the double effect. And I would really like to hear some backing vocals. But WOW dude, you made my day with this one. All the best -Kris

Real & Raw
Great use of layering and vocal edits. The raw emotion felt through the lyrics combined with the horns section was a wonderful combination of bitter & sweet. Together, the song told your story in a beautiful way; bound to resonate with many.

Remarkable Music Style
This song influenced of indie pop music grabed me right from the start. Virtuos piano accompanying and great played e-guitar impressions coming at the right time. The importance of the lyrics come from the soul and make the meaning of the song engaging for me. Richie Hoffman sings with a distinctive voice and soft vocal projection. Imaginative transitions sounding lively and creative and puts one immediately into the right mood. Impressively accentuated saxophone solo increases the arrangement as an extra factor. Perfect played drums and versatile guitar sounds forcing the music. All instruments really stand out and exactly on track. Absolutely professionell mixed and mastered recording. When I listened to this song first time makes me remember of the band Supertramp. I´m sure you will also enjoy as you hear and like to add. Let others know your recommendation.

A Truly Beautiful Song
"I Remember" is truly a beautiful and memorable song! It is a touching tribute to Richie Hoffman's dad. I can certainly relate to this song. I, as well, have written a song to honor my dad. I remember all that he did for me throughout my life as Richie remembers. The whole recording is well produced. The vocals and musicianship shines.

Good song. Needs hook to be great
I hate doing this, as I’m not qualified really but I’ve been asked so here goes. Basically, a really nice balanced sound. Well recorded and performed. I was with it thru a good verse, into what I thought was a great bridge, expecting a hook in a chorus, but the bridge was the chorus. My only real criticism, although it’s not really, as like I said it’s an unqualified observation. Play around with a catchy hook, and I think you might have something. Nice work buddy

In MY Opinion
Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the message in this song. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

A very beauty sound
This song has a quiet rhythm, but the sound of some instruments at the background makes it particular. The sax is very well played, it seems that you have good professional music abilities.
