Brooklyn's very own Internationally acclaimed roots reggae artist, R King Redemption. Born Rashawn Wright to Jamaican parents, who are heavily influenced by the Rastafarian culture and way of life. Brooklyn has been known for some of the finest artist of various art forms; R King Redemption is definitely one to place amongst all of these greats, bringing his unique style and charismatic delivery as well as his styled versatility. This artist, who has gained international attention for his positive and uplifting lyrics, has been performing on sound systems from the age of three and recording his first studio song at the age of fourteen. R King has performed alongside Jah Mason, Pinchers, Screechie Don, Fantan Moja, Glen Washington, Jr Demus and many other great artists. He has also recorded with Grammy award winner Mr. Cheeks from the legendary hip-hop group The Lost Boys.
