“Stranger,” a new single from Robert Meade’s new EP, is streaming now on Soundcloud. This single serves as an introduction to Meade’s nationwide tour that kicks off June 25.

Robert Meade has toured extensively, including runs with Floater, Robert Schwartzman, and Weezer guitarist Brian Bell. Additionally, Meade has appeared at festivals such as at SXSW 2011 and the Sundance Film Festival for the past three years. His Americana style has received acclaim from The Beach Boys’ guitarist Al Jardine. The new EP features tracks mastered by Sean Flora (The Shins’ Wincing The Night Away).

The Eugene-based musician will preview his unreleased songs with the Nashville Trio, comprised of percussionist Ben Schaaff and Isaac Hall on keyboards. The trio will start their national tour on June 25 in Eugene, Oregon with stops in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Nashville, Chicago, Memphis, and Portland.

Of the music, Meade notes, “These songs are a representation of where I am today. I feel them most at live performances, and I hope they speak well to the audience. Like every human experience, I am on a journey of ebbs and flows as a songwriter. I want to portray those emotions through lyrics and melody as honestly as I can. The process has been very therapeutic.”
