2022 a challenging year for Robert Steven Hunt but new music is being released digitally worldwide!
I am so pleased to be able to tell you that there is some new and exciting music on its way! However, this year has been a very difficult and challenging one. In April 2022, whilst sitting at home I suffered a series of mini strokes or TIA’s, which needed hospital treatment and medical intervention. The symptoms lasted for about three weeks and I was confined to my home to rest. It took nearly six months to really recover to the point where the consultant signed me off as being fit. The road to recovery was a long and very hard one. I struggled with fatigue if I attempted to do too much, even playing the piano was impossible at first. I can fully sympathize with anyone who has suffered in this way, but I am extremely grateful for the fact that I made a full and complete recovery! I can now say that “I am a stroke survivor!” The really good news is that I am still able to compose and play all the music!
My plans for the music in the immediate future include … a Special Edition EP released in November 2022 on all digital platforms, which will feature the piano with a full orchestra on the following new versions of My Beloved, Eira’s Theme. and Lost in Wonder. Imagine the full orchestra behind each of these awesome tracks! Then in December 2022, I am releasing three brand new singles. Hallelujah, Praise God; Let Fire Fall; and Lament. These new track excerpts will eventually be included in my Number One Music playlists for you all to enjoy!
The most exciting news is that in January 2023, the final single in the series will be released, it is going to be called Driftwood. This is a completely new recording and is the title track to me third studio album. In the spring of 2023, I am going to be completing work on my new relaxing, soothing and calming album Driftwood, with ten completely new compositions! If you have every felt that the world is getting you down, that it is all getting too much for you, that all the news in the world is bad, that you want some relief from the stresses and strains of life, just to get away from it all. Then my next album is exactly what you need. An album that will take you on a journey and help you to forget all your worries and anxious thoughts. Totally soothing and calming music, that will change the atmosphere of your room, helping you to relax and reach the very depths of your soul. For those who find it difficult to sleep, this music will clear your mind and let you simply just drift away. Driftwood, a totally new concept in music relaxation! Music that is really worth listening to, calming your busy mind.
I cannot wait to share this new music with you. Some of the early recordings on the album helped me during my recovery period, so I know from first hand experience that they really do work. I am so proud of all the new music compositions, they reflect my giving nature as a person. I am pleased to say that Chris Mitchell has done a superb job orchestrating these beautiful new tracks. I would like to wish all my listeners on Number One Music a very Happy Christmas and New Year. I hope and pray that the world can get back to some form of normality. I know that good music is a tonic for mental health, and I sincerely hope that my compositions can create a sense of calmness and comfort in a world that is being shaken from top to bottom. Thankfully, we are beginning to emerge out of the pandemic, but it seems that there is always something to replace the doom and gloom. Let us spread a bit of happiness and joy over the world.
