Review of "No Fool" by TIMBERWOLF

I'll give my GOOD POINTS first. Vocalist has a LOVELY voice!!!! No question about that! She can/will have a great career in music! The DRUMMER is "very precise" {wish I had him/her for my band! HA} Bass and other sounds very good! Song structure was "true to soul" genre. Nice lyrics! Okay...Now for the BAD POINTS: It didn't take me long to realize that the VOCALIST and DRUMMER were going to be in "constant competition" with each other throughout the WHOLE song! DRUMS were "much too loud" for the SINGER! {This is merely a PRODUCTION/ENGINEERING ERROR! And easily corrected!} As well...the rest of the instrumentation was WAY TOO DISTANT!!!!!!! You need to bring ALL THE INSTRUMENTATION UP EQUAL in signal/volume....and then "adjust that" with the VOCALS! The VOCALIST on just about "any song" {99% of the time} should STAND OUT "ABOVE" the music in the final mix! {The other 1% is if you have a bad singer/bad lyric you are trying to cover up? But if that be the case...why have that?} To MY EARS...Everytime the drummer hit that "snare beat" in was like a SLAP IN THE FACE to the vocalist! {My mind imangined her "black and blue" by the end of the song! HA!} OVERALL POINT here is you have a VERY GOOD SONG, so why not make the few critical changes {"all technical"} to make the difference between a HIT and a NON HIT! {Your choice!?} Keep on rockin'!
