The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered! Although the days are already getting shorter again from today on, the summer solstice is still a celebration of the gifts of the sun, a season of blossoming and the forces of life, driven by the light of the Creator. Today a new thirteen day cycle of the Mayan Tzolkin started in the sign of Kan/seed, as the moon was in Scorpio, a water sign - exactly in the moment when we lit the ceremonial fire, it also started to rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning. The fire wood was dry enough, so the rain didn't dash the flames and the fire burned bright, straight and beautiful from the very beginning - a perfect marriage of the two most contrary elements. I held a little rattle and drum ceremony with my dear friend Oliver "Astrolar" (Solarisphere), which is hopefully good enough recording quality wise, so I can share it with you. I was quite busy lately, so the promised new song, of which I talked about in my last newsletter, is still not finished, but maybe and hopefully it will be soon, as we also recorded a live set of the finishing part tonight with drums and guitar.
