He belonged to several formations in the style "The Shadows" (Nova Onda and conjunto Mistério) but it was in the "Sheiks", in the 60s, that he asserted himself. The band was known as the "Portuguese Beatles".

He was the solo guitar of "Claves" who won the "Festival Yé-Yé" at Teatro Monumental in 1966, in which more than 100 bands competed. "The Shadows", Georgie Fame, "Procol Harum", Pamela Murphy and Folk and countrie music were some of his preferences. He was with Rockfellas practically from the beginning and left in 2015 due to illness, passing away a few years later.
