Rolf is a real fighter whose only weapon is his Fender Jazzbass guitar. In his research, he discovered the Malagasy music controversial aspect, well-known by its wealth abroad, but just a little part is really appreciated and popularized by the media. And though, it's true, radio and television are dominated by non professional work leading Malagasy ears to poor culture.

Rolf is playing funk with malagasy sounds : "Salegy" 6/8 & 12/8, a typical rythm of the malagasy coasts ; and "kalon'ny fahiny", malagasy classical lyric (as you can hear it in his video "Miesora moa"), which was played in 1940 and 1950 in malagasy highlands.

He comes from Madagascar, a Third World country, and he is trying to express his original culture in universal version.
