About Romina Vitale

Romina began to listen to, and sing ,funk, disco, and soul music in her childhood, being those the different kinds of music her father's band played. It was with them that Romina started singing professionally. Later on,also during her childhood,she listened to Whitney Houston,who was her major vocal influence for many years. After turning 13,she got to know Mariah Carey's music and from then on her tendency towards vocal black music (soul,r'and'b,gospel) became truely evident. For a long time,these two singers acted as teachers, to Romina, of a vocal style which would soonly become HER style, and, little by little, her personal characteristics began to come through. What came afterwards was the development of that style. She doesn't forget the hard rock she used to listen to, (expired link) she was 17 she started listening to Ozzy Osbourne,whose fan she became for a very long time,and other heavy metal bands as Megadeth or Pantera. Later on she discovered Alanis Morisette, whose signing career she followed,and Romina even put on shows performing a repertoire almost entirely made up of her(Alanis')(expired link) though these singers didn't make an influence in her growth as a a voc
