BIOGRAPHY:

Rossella Caruso was born in the city of Catania ( Sicily- Italy) on the 23rd of February 1984.

In her teenage years her music influences are Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill while in Italy she takes inspiration from artists such as Giorgia, Elisa, Gemelli Diversi, Ligabue and many others.

Since her childhood Rossella loved music. At the age of 7 she starts playing the piano by ear for then take piano lessons by a professional pianist.
After auditioning a the age of 15 years old Rossella takes part of the Musical Institute “ Vincenzo Bellini” in Catania where she starts her rigid study of the piano. After 2 years she successfully receive her Certificate in Music Theory and Solfeggio.

During her years at the Musical Institute she develops several skills and starts her discovery of classical music. She takes part of the professional choir made of Opera singers with whom she appears, together with a full orchestra, in a few music events taking place not only at the main theatre of the city “ Massimo Bellini”but in several other places around Sicily.
In this period of musical enrichment Rossella has the priviledge to be part of a beautiful and articulated “ Operetta”, collaborating with professional coreographers from Rome, professional actors and Opera singers of prestigious fame. The final event of the Operetta took place in the picturesque and Baroque city of Noto, in Syracuse.

After 10 years of classical piano Rossella shifts her focus on singing without leaving her piano. She concentrates on her vocals and starts expanding her vocal journey. Although she has always had a passion for singing since an early age, she begings by taking lessons with Martina Monaco, a jazz singer of great talent.

In 2006 Rossella moves to London, where she will spend the next 5 years of her life. It is in this beautiful city that she starts blooming musically.
She begins by exploring different genres, from melodic rock to jazz, from musical theatre to pop music. This variety of styles comes from her unstoppable hunger to know new and different music ports that will only help her to grow both artistically and musically.
In 2007 she has the privilege to be taught by Sonia Jones, a singer of unspeakable talent who worked alongside artists such as Annie Lennox and Rolling Stones.
In July 2011 Rossella graduates in Theology, Music and Worship at the “ London School of Theology - Middlesex University”.
In her 3 years study program she has the opportunity to deepen her musical knowledge to a more complex and new level. She studies music composition and arrangement, improvisation, musicianship and musical creativity. Her main instrument remains voice and therefore she concentrates her studies on Opera, Musical Theatre and also jazz singing improvisation.

During her free time from the studies, especially during half term and summer breaks, Rossella dedicates her time in writing songs and composing piano compositions.
Rossella starts by writing English pop songs with the encouragement of her husband who has always believed in her and her friends/co-producers Nait Masuku, Nathaniel Ledwidge (Labirinth band member) and Tekiva Ledwidge, singer, songwriter and friend.

On her return to Italy Rossella continues to write for local artists . She starts collaborating with an indipendent label “ Cantieri Sonori” from Rome as songwriter for the singer “Giada Agasucci”, semi-finalist of a famous Italian talent show called “Amici” of Maria DeFilippi. The song Rossella lyrically wrote and of which Marco Canigiula (owner of the label) wrote the music, was one of those included in Giada’s EP sponsored by Sony Entertainment Italy.
