Summer is here Time to make Music
Summer is here again for my friends in the northern hemisphere. Down here in Melbourne Australia we have some some cold, wet, windy mixed with some great sunny winters days with some more months to come. I sort of like the seasons and enjoy the contrast.
After 12 months of having my music on N1M it has been great to correspond to those who have commented on my music. Thanks heaps for taking the time to send a message. With over 100,000 plays thanks for taking the time to play my music. Awesome.
My home has recently had a new baby (to my daughter) and they have now moved to their new home. This means time to make music again and not wake up the baby. I plan start recording ideas for some new releases in latter part of this year or early next. This is going to be fun.
Writing in winter months often brings about a different set of emotions, theme's and energy to writing. I think my softer comes through and brings with it more ballads and Sunday afternoon by the fire type song outcomes. So it will be interesting to see what pops out.
This months song "Not Sure Anymore" from the "You're the Reason" album is the type of ballad the evoke's the sense of fragility we can feel in love and where it this going and what we need from love. Our mind is never still and can cast us to places that a real and frankly not real. The song is desperate indecision when maybe things are lost. I hope this song provides some real connection and that there's a strange sense of hope when we can face our fears. This strength by facing our reality was the outcome I was trying to obtain. A couple of plays the best way to get into this song. So look forward to your feedback as always.
