Thanks to Joe Tyson, Rick Risberg & Dale Duffy who are the founding members & came up with to totally awesome & amazing name for the band, “Rough Innocence”. I cannot think of a cooler name, ever! Thanks for letting Edward Gerlach, my now ex-husband, Kelly Ryan, his sister, be guitarist and lead singer and myself, Deborah R Force-Shy-Gerlach-Culver, letting me tag along and surprisingly help in the background writing melodies and lyrics, to join you to write and create more magic that was already started by you three!
Many of the fans & even family members of the band begged to have access to our music because their CD’s had all wore out! That’s why I created this page, as a memorial to the band, the music ‘n the magic that put its spell on all who heard or saw Rough Innocence perform!
The magic of writing with you all was that it felt everything God had put you on this earth to do, the gifts He blessed us with and everything that made us unique was being utilized in those wonderful times in practice and jamming out new songs!

When I started the Number 1 Music band page, I had lost track of three of the members: Joe Tyson, Rick, Risberg, and Dale Duffy. They are the three original members to the band, and Joe Tyson, and own and trademark/copyright to the band name. Once they discovered that I had the page that wasn't a problem but I had also done things with iTunes and everything for wanting to purchase and have our music on other devices, but they felt our music shouldn’t be offered there. Since Rough Innocence broke up in 1994, Joe and Rick have formed us different band called, "Black Water Greed" which has a male lead singer, who is very versatile in their range like Kelly is. They are available and all the music online sites if you'd like to check them out.

It's special to me particularly as I wrote the words and created the vocal melody and was first to sing it into being while the music of the song was jamming and just formed! I agree there is more to success than numbers of plays of our songs...it's the hearts our music touches that most proves to me the success and Miles seems to be the one to do that the most. Thanks for putting a link to our N1M page! It's very much appreciated! Reply From RI/Deborah: Dear Robert, I know that you and many others would love to have our music on all the sites, such as Spotify, iTunes, etc… At one time we did, but I didn’t have contact information for the whole band to get their permission and once they all knew, it was decided that the music should be taken off those platforms. The only thing that I could suggest is set up the www.numberonemusic.com/roughinnocence site up and have it playing from your TV with a good sound system if you have a smart TV that can search the internet and then use your phone to record the songs and then play them from your own personal phone recordings. Stella above was hoping for that too and that’s the best solution I can come up with. I don’t’ think we have any of our original CD’s that we made back in 1992. Even my son and baby brother wore out their CD’s as well! Thanks for your sincere love and earnest desire for our music. Have a great weekend! Personal News: Enjoying the touch and go weather here, more on the spring side than the winter – but I’ll take all the nice days, anytime! How many days until Spring? Tuesday, 19th March 2024, 8:07pm - Thursday, 20th June 2024, 1:51pm. Northern Hemisphere. 39 Days 10 Hours 7 Minutes 45 Seconds – & Counting! LOL
Enjoying the many benefits of the living ketogenic lifestyle & intermittent Fasting since 2017, at almost 62 years of age, I feel the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. It’s amazing all the ways in which keto/if changes you, your body, your brain, your health, reverses aging and so much more! So thankful to have found it! I feel like God made the diet for me, because all the foods on it, I have never felt deprived in any way! In fact, I often joke that if God came to you and asked, “What’s your favorite food?” Many would answer – ice cream, pizza, etc… And imagine God saying to you, “Well eat all you want of that and you’ll be healthy and lose weight!”???!!! Well, that’s how I feel eating the foods in the keto diet! Their all my favorites foods that I never realized I could eat and get healthy and lose weight – plus feel not only great, but fantastic!!!!
