Merry Greetings from Rough Innocence & Deborah R Force-Shy-Gerlach-Culver

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all our Rough Innocence Fans! We hope your holidays are wonderful and everyone is healthy and safe too! Last year we thought we’d be out of these trouble times with covid, but we have a ways to go. Thank you for all your support! Our songs are often in the top 10 – 100 for Pennsylvania and that is amazing! I’m so glad you enjoy our music! Many have asked when we’ll have new music, but we broke up in the mid 1990’s so no new music from this group together. We’ve all gone our separate ways though all are involved in music still but with other bands, etc… We are currently using the free version of Number One Music and until we renew our membership we cannot help promote other bands and artist by recommending, etc… Hopefully sometime in the new year I’ll be able to be in a place where I can afford to do so. All your messages are so encouraging and feel very blessed that the magical music we made still lives on! Many have favorites and “Miles Yet To Go” has helped encourage so many of you…that is wonderful! Christmas can be sad for some and I understand that very well having lost my own mother, who died of breast cancer at the age of 45 on Christmas Eve 1985. It took quite a while to be able to enjoy the holidays again and celebrate her as Christmas was her favorite time of year! I wrote a poem for her that I copyrighted only 2-3 years ago because I discovered it had been shared from my Facebook page and went viral around the world with “Author Unknown”. I’ve talked to hundreds of people to correct the authorship and explain how the poem went viral. I think it is very much a God-thing that it happened that way. Perhaps if my name had been on it, it might not have spread so far and wide. Here is the poem: Your Mother Is Always With You! © By: Deborah R Culver aka Deborah R Force-Shy-Gerlach-Culver Your Mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winters’ day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow. She is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you come from, your first home. She’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy. But nothing on Earth can separate you. Not time. Not space. Not even death. Written for my Mom, Joann L (Baur) Force, born September 14, 1940, and passed away after a grueling battle with breast cancer at the age of 45, Christmas Eve Day, 1985. Loved dearly by her 5 children and their father. I hope 2022 is a better year for us all over the world! I pray for peace, love, joy, health, all your needs are met and many blessings come your way, to you and all your loved ones! Love, Peace and Keep On Rockin’!
