Round The Globe Won an Akademia Music Award (Folk/Singer-Songwriter)
I just received the announcement that our song, "Secondary Casualty," cowritten with Paul DeMarco, was chosen out of hundreds of contestants and won an award in the category of Folk/Singer-Songwriter from Akademia. This song was entered as part of the Round The Globe project, which is very near and dear to my heart and Paul has been an important part of that journey. Less than a year ago I started this special project to bring healing messages of love, hope and encouragement. Thus far, I have cowritten songs with musicians from North Wales, where Paul is from, as well as Nigeria, South Africa, Israel, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Macedonia, Mexico, Brazil, and the United States. Paul and I have a new album that is being released under "Round The Globe," which is in production. These songs and other RTG songs are played on IHeart Radio, Spotify, and are available on ITunes, Apple Music, Google Play, and various other sites. We are happy to receive this recognition, but even more happy to share it here with you folks that provide us with ongoing encouragement and support to send healing messages out to world, I think you will really like this song, it tugs on the heart stings and addresses a situation that most of us have faced at one point or another in life.
