Rubi Fyre, a hidden gem told of her potential all her life, takes you into a variety of exploding volcanic dimensions of love, deceit, broken promises, and the strength to break free and relinquish that potential. Her sound will engulf you in stories of attraction, love, and pain but leaving you submerged in her melodic tunes to begin loving again from the heart and soul.
Rubi began singing like a majority of artists as a small child, and was influenced by a variety of genres. Although she blended well in the Neo-Soul world, her spirit of Alternative Rock music began to emerge; dibbling and dabbling in the Afropunk Community, allowing her to continue to express her love for self, as well as rock out to a crowd that will appreciate her art. Through a good friend and composer/engineer, Elo the Source, she was given the perfect title for her blended genres “Urban Alternative.”
Prior to the evolution of Rubi Fyre, there was Keenya, who performed at many venues such as Who's Got That Vibe @Cafe 290 and The Moonlight Lounge, Footprints, The Imperial, The World Natural Hair Show 2008 & 2009, The Sweet Auburn Festival 2008, Apache Cafe, Ken J. Martin's Badass Open Mic, and many more. She has worked with artists such as DJ Miami Myztro, SUPA, Imani Chyle, Ras Igel, and Splah-I-Jah.
As an entertainer and songwriter, Rubi works with many on their projects, but is now ready to bring her own project to life. Rubi diligently works on her new project, and the title and date of her album is TBA. Try to keep cool as Rubi Fyre brings the heat to a city near you.
