Ruffcut Anderson performs in various 1920s golden age and contemporary musical styles.
My musical influences come from traditional artists such as Yank Rachell, Mississippi Sheiks, Tommy Johnson, Memphis Jug Band. With contempory musicians like Steve James, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits and many more too numerous to mention. Instruments include: Tri-Cone and Acoustic Guitars, 5 String Banjo, Traditional & Resonator Mandolins, Blues Harp and Vocals.
I have a passion for good handmade music. Melodic tunes, with a down on the farm feel. Blended with a mix of old time Dustbowl Country Blues, Hillbilly and Bluegrass based melodies.
