SATURDAY, JUNE 22, AM TO 4 PM--THE PRE-CLOSING CLOSING PARTY BEGINS!
Here we go again! The closing of another legendary venue for original music in Nashville this year. For those who remember, several years back, we used to have a version of Sam's Jams songwriter showcase just 15 minutes from Nashville's Music Row every Saturday afternoon at Ri'chard's Louisiana Cafe', 4420 Whites Creek Pike, Whites Creek, TN 37189 (about 10-15 minutes north of Music Row in Nashville). The format involved me sharing the entire afternoon with a featured guest, accompanying each other, and sometimes we'd have some surprise performers join in, too. It was always a hoot! We're down to the last version of it there on Saturday, June 22 for their closing party before incredible owner Richard Trest sells the place to move on to more adventures. We'll start at 11 am and go all the way until the first band starts at 4 pm. The difference in this version is that it will be half-hour slots, much like what we did with songwriters at Bobby's Idle Hour. The food is tasty, the parking is free and you can't beat the atmosphere as Nashville & New Orleans blend together! Make sure to let everyone else know because this it the final day for this great venue! It may get loose, but who's in the lineup at this point, you say?--
