I like the production sound. I can feel the heart in this showing you put in some dedicated work. I like the melody and the drums, the track is dope, I can hear some ill rhymes on this as a collabo!!! Sounds like the studio vibe was chill and relaxed!!!!! I must confess my mind was about to go into a rabbit hole a second before I pressed play & then those horns blew — & thank god they did, because I didn't know I needed them. Reminiscent in my mind to the polished yet edgy style of Prince, with harmonies, melodies, falsettos & even drum kits reminiscent of those used at different points in time by the purple one, 'Are You Gonna Break My Heart' is one of those that suit moods like water, because they can shape up to whatever the situation. If you are sad then 'Heart' will lift you up. Reminiscent? Then 'Heart' will draw a satisfaction smile on your face, the kind you get when something has passed, but was worth the space in time. Hopeful things will get better? Even though it raises the question of if a lover is gonna break our heart, the feel is he, she, they won't. Happy? then 'Heart' will reassure you. Musically speaking it is perfection. The arragement is soothing, properly produced, but not to extra. Nice groove. Feels and sounds like a classic R&B song, like what they used to sound like in the 90s. Nice vocal arrangement. Nice lyrics and production. Catchy hook in the chorus that gets stuck in my head. Wow that's quite the falsetto vocal. Overall nice song.

Very good track......great words,background in also right to me! Reality music like this is needed more than ever more. Love the high pitch falsetto ....makes all worthwhile. Dope ass song,one of the best songs I've reviewed so far . This track gives me an old school feel . Overall the song just makes you feel good and that's what it's all about . It's nice to hear someone on here that can actually sing. Instead of hearing a bunch of auto tune along with your vocals. This is a nice song to dance to and has a classic old school chorus with great instruments to help it out. I enjoyed the bridge and chorus the most and would have loved to have heard lyrics that bring me closer to the feelings of the artist.

Samuel Burns brings back the smooth in R&B. His vibe is a throwback to the days when a love song was a love song and not just a suggestive cluster of sexual accusations. The strong tenor of his voice the placement of the background vocals sets you on a journey of hope and longing. Mr. Samuel Burns, this is that "good grown folk music". The melody is pretty good. I was feeling the song all the way through. Now there are a few areas of the song that I feel should be revisited and touched up. First thing is the beginning. I would take the ad libbing out. Just let the music intro ride and start with the first verse. Your ad lib as it is now in the beginning is not working. It's something off about it. It's seems out of place as well because you started with this high note. You should always warm up to that instead of that being your first note in my opinion. And somewhere after the second verse I think I heard a few notes that sounded like you were struggling to get it right. Don't try to do so much. It's evident that you can sing. But I think you are trying to show all of your talent within the song. If you have to force it, trust and believe the listeners will pick up on it and it will stick out like a sore thumb. This song will work much better if you start with these suggestions. It's a nice song. Just don't be afraid to let the music breathe a little more like you did towards the ending. No need for the high pitch ad libs everywhere!!! But it's a nice groove Mr. Samuel Burns.

I really like this track it took me back to the last 70’s early 80’s. With that old school group feel, with the harmony and background vocals. I like the storyline throughout the song. Music never over shadowed the vocals and blended well. Keyboard horns was a nice touch. The hook was very catchy, brought back many memories of stepping on the dance floor!
