This is above average work. There is really nothing to criticize here. Good writing, good lyrics, good delivery, and even better production then I hear from a lot of indie artists. The message is one I appreciate with so many musicians treating their work as if their inspiration was the same as biblical inspiration, the lyrics actually quote the scriptures and place the musicians in a proper attitude to God. Good job. Hope to hear more from you.

Rockin’ Song!
I have truly missed this sort of sound. I remember growing up listening to Christian Rock. Every time we would go to the Christian bookstore or a music store I would scour the racks for the most rockin’ Christian album I could find. This song definitely takes me back to those days. Such a cool, strong groove on the drums immediately just pulling you into the song. And the low end is so fat. Then the guitars giving that late 90’s early 2000’s vibe. Love it. I just love it!

Hey Scott, Very cool sound-nice beat-I like the lead guitar-good job. When I do my arrangements I try also to not stick with the cookie cutter norm of todays offerings. Some people like the boy band sound, but, I like to hear originality and have a little meat on the bone with the sound of what goes in my ears. Your song "Confession" has a sound I like to hear. BEAUTIFUL MELODY. GREAT SONG.
The same melody can be interpreted softly, melodiously, joyfully, raw, playful, and in many ways sung or played by an instrument. Think of a metal song, a children's song or a romantic song. Of course, this is not a purely compositional aspect, but we must take it into account as it influences notoriously. Thinking about how the melody should sound, even the timbre of it is a very important aspect. Very good song. My congratulations.

Great Song. Period.
I was honestly impressed from the upbeat sounds of the rock guitar, bass, drums, and the vocal melodies displayed right from the start. Great transitions profoundly thought out from the first verse being sung leading towards the chorus and then to the solo rock guitar playing which was used creatively. I'm always a fan of songs not trying to do too much from a standpoint of completion; a message to deliver, a verse or two, a simplified chorus, in some cases a nice transitional bridge, and cap it off with a catchy melody. Great job. Roger W.

Gotta Dance Before the Lord with this one.
First of all I really enjoyed this song it captured my attention right away. One of the things that I would do recommending the song is your choice of category I definitely would not register it as adult contemporary, but would make sure that I put it out there as Indy and also Rock. It does kind of have a Indie Flair to it. Song could use some piano that would really brighten it up open it up it could also use some strings I do like the the overall feel of the song I think it sounds great the voice is wonderful but it needs to come out of that sounding outdated by bia The Rock guitar stop the acoustic guitar stuff it needs more strings also to bring out the bass don't want to give you any criticism on the mix just needs to be opened up. I would also put that beginning hook in the middle of the song and maybe out towards the end that's nice those guitar chords maybe expound on that song needs a hook something to catch it right away and they keep it going overall the song was a blessing can understand where you're going not too much criticism just a little justments in the mix good song

A Great Funky Song
I love this song and arrangement and how unusual to start with a drum solo......love the guitar riffs linking the verses and the hook "dont let the rock fall down on me" is very catchy and easy to remember.....all in all a great upbeat Christian song....i like it more like this please :) Selah

Super solid spiritual rock and roll
From the strong drum and the solid rock intro to the end 3:29 later, Scott Edward Jones' recording of "Confession" delivers good listening, sonically and lyrically. The composition is musical and well sung by a classic-sounding lead vocal. Harmonies are used appropriately and well-executed. The mix is good all around, and I love the lead guitar work. The talent and the It factor are definitely there, but the guitarist never overdoes his part or gets flashy, he just steps in and makes a statement, highly congruent with the song. The lyrics are also solid, with a nice play of imagery between "don't let the rock fall down on me" and "the stone that the builders rejected." 3:29 well spent, and would love to hear more from this artist!

A call from the heart
If your looking for a song that reflects good bible teaching and a cry for mercy, you will find this song hits the spot with a good driving beat and well thought through guitar segments. Thoughtful lyrics with the personal touch means that anyone could sing this song as a prayer; a call for help (in fact I found myself singing along on the second listening)............thanks.

Excellent Christian Rock song, I find it refreshing in the easy lyrics to sing along. Some Rock songs like this that are Rock have a vocalist that is screaming instead of singing. Your vocal is anointed. I like the percussion in this song the best. Anointed in every way by The LORD. I can't find fault in any part of it. The lead Electric Guitarist is especially gifted. I am sure it will touch many souls to turn to Christ. "Confession is good for the soul " so they say and so is this song. There is a long pause at the beginning of the recording, was this intentional? I hope others will hang in there to listen like I did too. I have asked for restoration sin leads to disease and the heavy weight of burdens. Your lyrics reflect his spiritual truth. I hope you find many opportunities to be heard on Christian Radio. Be sure to Send it to the one in Mid Ohio, Coloumbus. thefishcolumbus and iheart and your own state of Michigan. I am sure you will soon be popular and in the top of the charts for your Genre!

my thoughts
Dude, this song totally reminds me of the Rolling Stones. Especially the intro. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing your song with us. Pretty good little song, the band is tight and well rehearsed. The guitar player stands out. The mix is spot on with the vocals out front where they belong. Good job. I would really like to hear some back-up vocals with you. I think they would really add to the overall song. Maybe some black gospel choir type thing. Would not need a full choir, just do some layering. Overall GREAT job. Keep up the good work.
