Verse 1

A telly-genic George has no life outside his livin' room,
he's a time-shifter, vintage video tapes his only frame-of-reference.
A generation of VCR, before cleaning the machine strips it bare,
and his movie-reel, never stops movin', spare parts for wear and tear.


Verse 2

It's late on Friday night, in the library it's nearly closing time,
and the girl with the date-stamp takin' real-estate in his thoughts.
She disrupts his concentration, thick glasses on a porcelain skin,
her day ends so, she lets her hair down, removin' the safety-pin.

Under bright reading lights, I see the life mapped out before me,
includes the dream to take her out (she's for reference only).
She breaks the fourth wall, and finally she interacts with me,

9 tracks into recording an album and with pen hovering over paperwork that would be her first Signing, Linda sadly passed away suddenly and without warning, in June last year whilst out walking with her dog.
Having only known Linda through conversations I had with Brisbane sound wizard & Linda's producer Chris Jarrett, I understand that she was a very special, gifted lady who had a bright future and enchanting effect on those she knew.
When I first listened to the songs that is Linda's legacy, there is a beautiful glow in her voice. In introducing the first of three songs by Linda, "I will Come", you'll hear for yourself in her opening line after the intro, this voice which was her gift. Call it the x-factor, wow-factor, label it as you like, but where on earth did that voice come from! For as long as Linda's voice is heard across the airwaves, she is very much Alive.

John Ratcliff who discovered, produced and managed A-ha, had a huge influence on Linda and the tracks that were recorded at his home. John & his wife were very close to Linda and it was a huge shock to them when she passed away.
