Templar Ash
Electronica
Templeton showcases the songwriting of Michael Charles Dirksen, who having played with various bands since the early 90's has built up a catalogue of songs that stretches far and wide. From playing with punk outfits, to folk music, exploring jazz, reggae and classical composers, Michael has slowly moulded his sound into what he likes to call ambient rock. Having completed the construction of a recording studio, Templeton is free to dive deeper into the musical abyss and to see whats on the other side. No live performances are scheduled yet, but the self titled album (Templeton) is available on all major music sites.
Cherie has just joines as bass player for the Templeton Universe band. She is also a published aurthor and multimedia artist.
Concerto I for Guitar and Orchestra Movement I Michael (Guardian Of Heaven And Earth) This work depicts the creation of the angels and the subsequent battle that erupts between them. Michael the commander in chief and his angels finally cast the disobedient angels from heaven and piece reigns again. This piece is characterized by many melodic lines moving at once. Not is a contrapuntal nature but as independent melodies in their own right. The guitar and orchestra banter back and forth as is typical in a concerto.
