Keith Carroll
Acoustic / Singer Songwriter / Country
At the age of 10 (1977) I heard Boston's Long Time at a Philadelphia Seventy Sixers half time show and I became instantly hooked on the idea that I wanted to play guitar. Formal training in Jazz, Blues, and country-western paved the way to wanted to create my own sound. Experimentation with crude dictation tape recorders and loving the story of how Tom Shultz of Boston and he was the mastermind behind Boston's sound, made me want to create recordings of my own. Needless to say at a young age it was very hard with little to no equipment. Many interrations of studios later, I continue to achieve more than the last. Definitely has been a labor of love. Over the years, such influences as Boston, Styx, Foreigner, Aerosmith and Van Halen left impressions lasting to this day. The classic 70's and 80's sound paved the road to much of rock and roll and my love of music. In the 90's it was Collective Soul and Joe Satriani influences pushed my artistic expression further. The sheer joy of creating music has kept me going for over 38 years.
