Nicholas Shawn P., aka Sk8Board Bama, hailed from Opelika, Alabama in a single parent home where his divorced mother worked hard to make sure that he had good grades in school. By virtue of being ADHD, Nicholas had authority issues in his childhood days. He was quite hyperactive in his high school days as well, and he thus became a problem child in school. Down the line, Bama got pinned with criminal charges that were not his, and he was put in jail for 1 year while he fought the legal case. After his release, Nicholas Bama decided to make something good out of his life, and this led him into the music and multimedia business. He states, saying, "Having developed an interest in music and art, I left for El Dorado, Arkansas to start a small production firm, Sk8 Nation Muzik. Under this private label, I now make a living as a DJ, a rapper, and a music producer. It's been fun all the way." The Arkansas-based DJ has begun to build a strong landmark as a go-getter as he is now making conscious efforts to develop the mental prowess that would help him to achieve excellence in life and career. As of today, Nicholas currently has a 4.0 grade from a community college. "Yeah, people may think of me as a gangster, but I am highly educated. I would love to be known for my education, business, and music career; rather than my ruff, riff raffish appearance. Music is fun, and it's a message too. It's good to learn how life works. I was largely influenced by 2pac ,TI,Twista, Busta Rhymes,and various old school and R&B artist. A singer must make a great deal of sense to targeted fans," he exclaims. It's been gathered as well that Nicholas Shawn P. is a professional videographer and cinematographer. He has produced four local TV commercials, out of which he filmed three and featured in one. In June 20, 2014, he produced a music video titled Hu$tle & Flow, of which he believes that the content could top a few music charts, if nominated among the new arrivals in the entertainment industry.
