After Midnight’s Christmas Party
After Midnight will be holding their Christmas Party on Saturday 21 December 2024. The Friday night gig is Sold Out, so this extra night has been added. The venue will again be Cluny2 at 34 Lime Street, Ouseburn. Doors open at 7.30pm. Band on stage at 8.30pm. Tickets are still available £15 (subject to booking fee), available in advance from The Cluny - Tel: 0191 230 4474 Visit the venue’s website:- www.thecluny.com After Midnight have chosen Cluny 2 because it is one of the best and most intimate theatre spaces in the north east. The Cluny has deservedly acquired great reputation for championing live music.

NB: This will NOT be an Eric Clapton tribute gig although one or two of Slowhand's songs will be covered, along with music by Free, Dire Straits, The Beatles, Steely Dan and many other rock classics. less

Diana Black

A stream of beautiful vocal chords always flowing throughout Venus2's music, identifying the passion and meaning of the lyrics written for the tune. Di's voice gives the song the passion and beauty in our live performances or our recordings. In our recordings Di contributes vocals, backing vocals, percussion, harp, and guitar skills. Di is the lyricist for our songwriting team, she is so quick at coming up with what is required to tell a story and to bridge the words with the emotions of the song

Bruce Black

The magic of Bruce's Guitar skills are mainly shown in Venus2 live performances, however you will hear and feel the emotions he projects in our recorded tunes as well. In our recordings Bruce lays down acoustic guitar, banjitar, bass, and all styles of electric lead & rhythm. Bruce also provides the backup vocals in live and recorded songs as well. When required, keyboard and drums are also slipped in as well. Bruce shares the songwriting with Diana with the music writing and assembly. Production of the tunes are done by both Di and Bruce.
