Musicians who have never played together from different countries around the world come together in 2023, using only their cell phones to record a cover of the song “Comfortably Numb”, released on their eleventh studio album, The Wall (1979). It was released as a single in 1980, with "Hey You" as the B-side. By the British rock band Pink Floyd. The song was composed by guitarist David Gilmour, while the lyrics were written by bassist Roger Waters, who based them on his experience of being given tranquilizers before a performance in 1977. During recording, Waters and Gilmour had arguments, as Waters preferred an orchestral arrangement, while Gilmour preferred a simpler arrangement.
