LEON 2018 has be another exciting year for Leon! As well as having a number of film & TV projects in development, Leon is starring in “Her Only Choice” movie for BET/Viacom network airing October 6th. Leon co-stars and executive produces the international TV series “40 & Single” set in Ghana. Streaming now on the UMC channel. Leon also is one of the stars of the provocative new series “A Luv Tale”as well as guest starring on FOX TV’s Rel and Blue Bloods on CBS. Leon is currently on a successful film festival run supporting his political satire short film “Make America Black Again” which he produces, directs and stars in for his NYC based Motion Mob Films. Leon’s band, Leon & The Peoples released the band’s second album, “Love Is A Beautiful Thing” on Spectra Music label to rave reviews. Many fans were first wowed by his appearance in Madonna’s most famous video “Like a Prayer,” but more fans flocked to the theaters to see him in the lead role of Disney’s blockbuster hit “Cool Runnings.” He soon graced many excellent story lines such as New Line's urban sports drama “Above the Rim,” Tri-Star's action hit “Cliffhanger,” 20th Fox' hit “Waiting to Exhale,” Columbia Picts “Ali,” the NAACP Best Picture Award winning “Once Upon A time When We Were Colored,” Showtime’s Resurrection Blvd. and the HBO original series “Oz.” Leon continued to shine in musical roles such as Robert Townsend’s “The Five Heartbeats” (voted the #1 African American film by AOL), the Emmy Winning mini-series “The Temptations,” as lead singer, David Ruffin and the authorized biography of “Little Richard” both earning him NAACP Best Actor nominations. Recent credits include Bafta Winner Leila Djansi’s films, “And Then There Was You” & “Where Children Play," also “Cover” directed by Bill Duke.
