Co-founder of The Rain. Critically acclaimed, world-renowned finger-style guitarist who also tours as a solo act. Andy happened upon the Steve and Jim recording duo (before Gil came into the picture) and a full-length Acoustic Rock album resulted, The Rain - "Out of the Emptiness" (see merch). The musical collaboration that became the Rain brought Andy's incredible virtuso and song-writing talent into alignment with the avant-guarde indie rock vibe and attitude that Bond/Harley were experimenting with at the time. And in an amazing burst of creativity and coincidence, that album came into existence. But soon after it's creation, Andy had to leave the country, and continue the touring duties of his solo career. Subsequently the album we made, was never released, never performed live. Only now, has it resurfaced, on this wonderful site...N1M! We have to thank the fans for taking notice, and giving us this resurgence and recognition! You're amazing!! We hope you enjoy the album, "Out of the Emptiness", as despite the fact that we recorded it nearly 15 years ago, it still remains one of our proudest achievements in overall sound design to this day.
Jim is co-founder, co-writer and bassist for The Rain and Remedy. Jim and Steve had been in bands together since 1993, and making records together since 1997 (Devora). But after some years in the musical dessert, a reinvigoration happened when they both coincidentally separated from their wives within a few months of each other. They then found themselves living in close proximity, with an incredible urge to create! And from the ashes of marital dissolution....Remedy was born. The Remedy to our emotional pain...was music. Jim has a very melodic and funky style that help gives Remedy its uniqe alt-indie-groove-funk rock vibe. He's also skilled at video and sound editing, when not busy running his own vehicle graphics shop.
Steve, co-founder, co-writer, singer and electric guitarist of The Rain and Remedy, has been writing, recording and performing in bands since high school. He worked 10 years as a full-time family doctor, had to leave the job in 2008 due to addiction to pain killers. Now, 11 years into a full recovery, Steve no longer practices medicine, and spends his time producing music, videos, blogs and, with his wife's help, co-parenting their beautiful 9-year old autistic daughter, Alexa!
