About Sedativa

Sedativa's music is a fussion of various styles and genres, as reggae, jazz, rock, dub, arabic music, genuinely melting them into fresh and original adaptaions. Sedativa came up to life in Warsaw in 2000 as a dub-electronic project started by Rami Al Ali from Syria (keyboards) and by Ignacy Pluzanski (groovebox).

The band gave their first performances in "Siekierki" (Jawor Records), and soon other people joined the band, Jurek "Buras" Burkacki (bass guitar) and Andrzej "Jawor" Jaworowski (guitar), previously member of Transmisja. Those two musicians added some fresh concepts and a new image of the project has been founded. Sedativa became a band playing live music.

Sedativa made it's record debut in 2001 with a song Chanting the water Away on the Dub out of Poland compilation. On that recording, the band's personnel has been supported by Marcin ''Ulan'' Ulanowski on percussion (Sistars), Dominik Trębski on trumpet (Fish), and Dariusz ''Pablo'' Pawilojcz on drums.

In 2005, after almost one year break, Ulan has been replaced by Sarhan Kubeisi, being still a member of the Satellite band.
