Through The Veil (Album Version)
Song Reviews
Through the Veil
Great vocals! Music is edgy a little goth, great band, vocals are from Down Under! Slightly sounds like Avril Lavigne or Sinead O'Conner before her melt down. Best wishes to you Seren! Rock on!

Unveiled Skies
A very powerful vocalist with a hard edge rock style. Some of the best new rock coming from Australian artists. Cutting edge topic. Professional production with great mix of instrumentation. Seren Skies is an influential force you should not miss.

Seren Skies - Through the Veil
This is a great song! Why can't we find a vocalist that can sing? This song reminds me a bit of Blondie, and I mean that out of love and respect for Debbie and the band. I say: Bring back that '80s feel and slap people in the face with it. I like it so much..I'm gonna listen to it again! Great job everyone, and I want to hear more! And I'm sharing this, by the way.

Like Minded People
The song begins with a solid melody and crunchy guitar tone. There's a smooth transition into a keyboard and rhythm section comprising the verse. A catchy hook on the chorus being sang over the previously mentioned intro riff brings a full revolution to the song. The roots of 1960's rock n roll are prevalent with a blend of the current era. Seren Skies takes you on an introspective journey "Through The Veil".

I Love it!
Seren, there is just something about your songs, and singing, that just hits a nerve in me. Through the Veil, has a good feeling, and good groove. There is something old about your sound, but at the same time it's new. Keep up the good songs. Sincerely Edward Westbrook

I just feel that there is so much talent out there that doesn't get noticed. Great bass line. Brilliant guitar riff A unique sound with this band

thoughts
i really liked this. there are so many messages packed into one song which is always a plus since music is so gimmicked up now. I can relate cuz I don't hide either. Im here and im not going anywhere and im going to be me. I like the instrumentals and vocals and how they complement each other so well. Keep bangin and keep it real

More Veil
Want this to be constructive as I listened to this on some cheap laptop speakers. The vocal is great but felt there could be better use of doubling and harmonies at specific points (specially chant/rap sections). The mix is blanaced but somethimes the keyboards pushed a bit hard and took over the song - try remixing from scratch and checking the freq bands aren't competing or cancelling each other. Also felt the song could benefit from some singing after the beat and as a whole having a stauration effect to glue it. To add a bit more pump to the song too try light multi-band compression to push the low end. Like the theme and visuals from the lyrics - Nice track Seren Skies :)

"Through The Veil" is a great song!
Australia's Seren Skies "Blue Veil" is a unique, catchy and textured track that draws the listener in immediately with a percussive guitar and sax driven groove that brings to mind Morphine and The Pixies. It's an extremely tasty and textured aural experience. Lyrically, it's slightly repetitive, but that's not a huge deal! Kickass work!

Through The veil
A strange mixture of old and modern sounding. Giving it an original feel. I thought the beginning was quite good I liked the guitar/ bass riff. The drums seem a bit low in the mix with a bit to much reverb making the whole song sound a bit messy, keyboards have a nice 60s sound and feel. The vocals start off a bit shaky but improves as the song goes on reminds me of Blondie (Rapture ) the chorus is repetitive and memorable but I think it goes on a bit. In all a good effort Keep on rocking :-)

My kind of stuff
This is my kind of music! The intro and the music is just awesome but maybe you have to work a little more on the back vocals and put some reverb on the main vocals, that's just what i think. your voice should more energetic too, with more passion! The arrangement is awesome to, so as the coda. Reminds me of the good old punk rock! Good luck and cheers from me. I will share your stuff you more often!

Great track but wrong vocal style
I love this track love especially the opening guitar riff which kicks in here and there throughout. I think personally almost like a stacatto rapping vocal fits over this rather than what you have done throughout the verses you have the right vocal melody through the chorus. love the old style keyboards sprinkled here and there throughout. Nice to hear some backing vocals on the chorus but they need to harmonise more with your main vocal.

trying too be kind
I think that the oerformance is good, but there absolutely nothing original about this tune. the production is good, but there is no originality or hook showing on this song...keep up the great work

Nice Groove
I love the Bass line in this song. It carries the song along that makes it easy to follow. This is a song that would go great during Halloween time just like "Wooly Bully" and all the others in October. I Loved It ~

REAL ROCK
I LIKE THE MESSAGE OF YOUR LYRICS. THE SONG STARTS OUT WITH A GOOD CLASSIC ROCK FEEL. AS IT PROGRESSES IT BRANCHES OFF A BIT. PRODUCTION WISE I WANT TO HEAR ALLOT MORE METALLIC GUITAR. THE VOCALS ARE BALANCED WELL, I HEAR ALLOT OF INFLUENCES. MY FEELING IS THAT THE SONG GOES IN TOO MANY DIRECTIONS AT ONCE AND DOESN'T REALLY HAVE A HOOK THAT GRABS YA. THIS IS A GREAT START. TAKE THIS SONG AND SIMPLIFY IT A LITTLE AND GIVE IT A METAL HEART TO GO ALONG WITH THE VOCAL SMOOTHNESS.
