Xena

It reminds me a little of X and Xena from the early eighties. Good lyrics with a good instrumental backup. My girlfriend also says it has a bit of a Biker Bar grove as well. Good stuff! I would only recommend punching it up a bit, getting in people's faces a bit more and even screaming a little. I also hear a little Pat Benatar and Chryssie Hynde.

Hot Rockin' Skies

Seen Skies has put together a solid rock'n roll song with solid well structured leads and a powerful vocal by the lead singer. The song's melody is catchy and the beat keeps your feet tapping. A must hear number from this gifted band.

Seren Skies - No more reveiw

This is a cool grungy rock sounding song with a nice little harmonized guitar popping in here and there. The lyrics are well written and deliver the message well. I could definitely listen to more of Seren Skies.

The vocals need work

When the song first started I thought it would maybe be okay. Unfortunately when the vocals came in they were very flat and not mixed well with the music. Also there are pitch problems and the melody is uninspired.

Review from Modern Rock/Spoken Word Songstress, Shadow

Liked the intro. Was able understand the lyrics clearly. I would have put a little moe grit, soul, into my vocalize tipn. I think the music was well orchestrated and mixed, although I might turn the lead guitar down just a tad. It sometimes sounds as if it is overpowering the singer.

Good song with a great message

I like the intro. It is very catchy ! The guitar solo's are really awesome. The lyrics are really good. I like the vocals, but would suggest putting some effects on them to make them step out better. But further it is a good song with a good and strong message.

I like how the track comes on with so much energy. To be honest it seems like the verses were missing something. I like the lyrics but the actual sound of your voice doesn't match the record. The song is great, just might want to have someone else sing it or you could just put a lot more emotion in the lyrics while you sing them. I like the guitar solo at the end of the record. Gives it a real rock and roll fell. Keep up the great work and keep pushing forward.

Overall, I like everything about this song. It has a great message of anti abuse among individuals. I also like how the singer on some parts of the song reminds me of Jim Morrison of the doors. I am not saying the voice sounds the same, but Morrison bluesy singing style. I would suggest adding some guitar licks somewhere in the middle of the song and adding some harmony. Overall, I see some great things to come from this very talented group of musicians.

A solid Alternative Female Rocker song!

Helpful

First off, the song is what I feel would be classified as a "90's Alternative Rock" song. Alternative rock with strong female vocals, maybe influenced by Alanis Morissette, Meredith Brooks. Aimee Mann, or other female alternative rock acts. It is very 90's to me and I fell it sound very reminiscent of that time period, if you like that (which I do, wife makes comments how my mp3 player sounds like "Lilith Fair" at times). I've seen that she gets compared to Debbie Harry, but I personally feel her vocal delivery is more like Exene Cervenka, lead singer of the legendary Los Angeles punk band "X". Only negative thing I could say is the lead guitar line sometimes sounds a little muddy, could also be stronger. This song could also use a ripping guitar solo, especially after the bridge. Instead of just going back into lead guitar line, a ripping guitar solo there would just add more depth to the track. This song is definitely worth a listen you like alternative rock with female vocals.

A good solid rock backing track, with some nifty lead guitar riffs, but I can't help feeling its reminiscent of rock gone by. The vocals seem poorly recorded and don't quite sit inside the track, plus I feel they need more power to match the band sound. A little flat sometimes too. The song itself has potential, but the vocal needs rerecording and mixing, perhaps with a bit of the dreaded autotune maybe if necessary. Or perhaps the vocalist could just throw caution to the wind and screech it out along with the power of the band. I think she needs to adopt a larger and wilder rock persona to put across the song, and then the whole track might gel as one consistent powerhouse of sound. In short, a new vocal and remix, and it may stand a chance. Very good luck with it though.

Powerful message, This song has all the makings of a #1 chart topper. The band is rocking and the vocals are superb. I don't think you need to double them as you did throughout maybe only on the finally free part and distinguish the second with a distinct fading echo. Just a sugestion. It was just a bit too much after awhile. The total concept and musicianship gets the 5 stars alone. You have a Stevie Nicks quality to your voice I think the doubling in places takes that away and lessens the ability that you truly have as a powerful singer. I wish you all the best. ~Ã₩Ź~

Drive/momentum/dynamics

Good opening lead guitar and vocal style...... with the bridge, would you consider doubling or harmonizing the vocals. Even though the tambourine adds a little sizzle try using a different progression after the B section because the Ld guitar seems a bit overplayed throughout. I'd like to give a better star rating if the drive/momentum/dynamics were a little more evident. I've heard and recommended some of your other songs and look forward to hearing a 2nd fuller version

The music sounds a bit cheesy. The vocals go off key several times. I think there could be a much better melody for this song. The vocals need some reverb. I don't like the effect that they have on the vocals. There is some talent here, I just think the song needs a lot of work.
