Unlike many traditional remix DJ’s, Shadow Fax, aka Jason Rivers, produces all his own material & digital visuals. This is what makes Shadow Fax so refreshing to fans and credits alike. Many traditional “DJs” have found trouble finding their niche in the post-house era. The sometimes painful sight of a one-man band with two turntables and a microphone has become so cliché as to beg for innovation in recent years. Unlike many traditional remix DJ’s, Shadow Fax, aka Jason Rivers, produces/writes/edits all his own electronic material and digital visuals. This is what makes Shadow Fax so refreshing to fans and critics alike. Shadow Fax’s final product is a very contemporary blend of electronic dance music that often blurs the lines between these and other genres: Progressive House, Electro, Dubstep, Glitch, Tech, and Minimal. But what makes Shadow Fax so unique is his live sets. His performances include carefully sequenced digital visuals, essentially a music video for every song, making one great multi-media experience. For lack of a better expression, Shadow Fax puts on a great live show.

Even though Rivers produces/writes all his own material, he does understand the need for crowd connection so several remixes are typically performed in his live sets. Although Rivers plays many instruments like keyboard and guitar, it is the modern equipment and software that allows him to extract and blend sounds that can be found nowhere else. Rivers has a storied musical background, including being a founding member of the Alt-rock outfit Transport (2002), which enjoyed considerable success. However, Rivers felt there were more walls that needed to be raised. "I had to destroy main stream rock and roll in order to save myself... I simply got bored.” Luckily for us, Rivers has parlayed his boredom into magnetic songs that often send a welcoming warm swell through your body.

Shadow Fax has consistently added to its loyal fan base from the start. Word quickly spread about his captivating multi-media live performances. Shadow Fax capitalized on this early success with the release of "Chemical Resort" (Released in 2008 under the (expired link) label which was co-founded by Rivers in 2004). The second release “Destroying Your Design” released 2012 shows Shadow Fax’s true talent and artist progress/development. This promising 2nd release has been received enthusiastically by critics and fans alike. Rivers’ pipe dream of becoming a poplar world DJ is now starting to become a reality.

Despite Rivers love for Electronic music, his love for the guitar coupled with his Alt-rock roots have given rise to another project he formed entitled ROGUE SIXX in 2010. This Alternative Electronic Rock group has only 1 other member Chandler Pratt whom plays a key role as a standing live drummer. Rivers wrote all the material for this project as well including guitar, digital drums, and even vocals/lyrics. ROGUE SIXX still tours strong and shows considerate popularity.
