About Shaloc Renaissance

"I CREATE ANTHEM MUSIK THAT PEOPLE CAN FEEL, EMBRACE, GET INSPIRED, & MOTIVATE THEMSELVES". SHALOC hails from Pittsburgh, Pa. He has been creating music for about 20 years as a "positive outlet." He was introduced to BOB MARLEY'S music when he was in high school and growing up in the "Golden Era" of HIP HOP. SHALOC began writing lyrics about his life experiences in Urban America and expressed his musical talents throughout the city by performing with the NOBLE SONS, OBVIOUS CREW, and LIONS OF THE JUNGLE throughout the 1990's.

Shaloc further honed his musical skills by performing in popular Pittsburgh venues, such as Frankie's Rosebud, Mellon Park, Dowe's on 9th St. and the Shadow Lounge. Upon graduating from high school, SHALOC attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he gained experience about recording equipment, digital synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and live instruments in their audio and music program.

SHALOC has worked and performed with a number of artists and producers in Pittsburgh and Atlanta, whose styles were influenced by hip hop, Reggae, Jazz, and R&B. He did a short stint in Germany and performed in several locations while there. Then in 2003-2010 SHALOC formed POWA-HOUSE UNLIMITED ENTERTAINMENT, which produced some of the city's hottest mixtape releases, as well as created & promoted some of the city's Livest Local Shows!

SHALOC has currently Reinvented himself as far as Being a musical artist is concerned, His Evolved Identity is "SHALOC RENAISSANCE" Which Simply Translates " I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF REVIVING THE ART, REBIRTH, RENEWAL, #ARTISTMOVEMENT "! Stay Tuned>>>>
