Peter Henault
Peter was born into a musical family. His dad was a well-known jazz musician who played all over northern Vermont and Canada and his mother sings. It was only natural that Peter followed in their footsteps. Peter has been playing guitar for as long as he can remember and played his first gig at the age of 14. He had to borrow his friend’s older brother’s ID so he could play in clubs. The band Tank was his first semi-pro band and it was made up of childhood friends. The band played all over New England and New York for six years. Tank still gets together to play benefits in the St. Johnsbury area. Peter’s played all over New England and Canada with other bands: Tank, Maximum Bob, Little Memphis, Zee, and Frydaddy to name a few. He’s also shared the stage with bands such as Orleans, Black Oak Arkansas, and the Fools. Peter also enjoys recording and has recorded with punk rocker G. G. Allin, Pete Merrigan, Tank, as well as others. Peter has been playing guitar for over 40 years. He’s a self-taught musician who has been influenced by many different players including Ronnie Montrose, Alan Holdsworth, Brent Mason and many others. In addition to playing the guitar, he enjoys building and repairing the instrument as well.

Kurt Ekstrom
Kurt started playing drums at the age of 11 and has been influenced by artists from The Doors and Van Halen to Buddy Rich and Dave Brubeck with everything in between! Since the age of 20, he has played at numerous locations around the New England area. In his last band the October Sons, he had the pleasure of opening for such acts as Rick Derringer, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band as well as an all star band consisting of former members of Boston, Steely Dan, Extreme and others. Playing all styles from rock and blues to jazz has given Kurt a broad vocabulary of musical styles which has afforded him the opportunity to contribute to multiple CDs with varied artists. Kurt is a collector of Ludwig drums from the 30’s to present. Kurt also endorses Kelly Shu internal bass drum microphone systems and Rich Sticks.

Winner of the Independent Country Music Association's Country Band of the Year and Fans Choice Award, Winner of the New England Music Award for Country Act of the Year, and World's Best Indie Band by Wiles Magazine and most recently winner for Band of the Year by the New England Music Awards and winner of Country Artist of the Year by the Limelight Music Awards, The Shana Stack Band excites their audience with their high energy, high impact show. The Shana Stack Band features multi-national award winning vocalist Shana Stack, and Nashville Songwriter's Association International member, Ed Leavitt, the male vocalist and songwriter of the group.
The Group focuses on current country, and original music written by Ed Leavitt. One of Ed's songs, "Let it Go", has been featured in the movie Compliance which was released nationwide in the summer of 2012 by Magnolia pictures.
The Shana Stack Band has opened for such mega stars as Reba McEntire, Sugarland, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Chuck Wicks, as well as performing before Travis Tritt on the Main Stage at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway before the Nascar Sprint Cup Race. The band has performed shows all across New England at a variety of venues including Turning Stone Casino, Lake Sunapee Yacht Club, Manchester-by-the-Sea Bath & Tennis Club, Tupelo Music Hall, Meadowbrook Pavilion, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Toby Keith's Bar & Grill and the Big E Fair! In September the band opened for the Vocal Group of the Year by the Country Music Association, Little Big Town and later in the month opened for Craig Morgan and Aaron Parker at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The band also opened for Toby Keith and Aaron Lewis on the Main Stage of the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.
The Shana Stack Band released their second full-length original CD, "What You See Is What You Get" summer 2012, which was nominated for Album of the Year by the Independent Country Music Association and their third album, "Every Now and Then", released in June 2013. The band's fourth album "Then and Now" was released at the end of July 2014.
Without a doubt, The Shana Stack Band hits the stage with one goal in mind…To engage their audience and leave them wanting more.
