Hello All, I want to say Thank You very much to all of you who have been listening to the songs, "Life", "The Force That We Call Life" and "Man With A Gun" on the album, "Continuance" I put on N1M. For those who don't know my work, this is my 27th album and I hope y'all will want to hear some of the other albums. I've worked with some of the most amazing musicians all over the world to create these works and one of the secrets to my albums is that I never take direction (this is a huge no no in the music business) from anyone and I never tell the musicians what to play! You simply don't tell musicians like Alphonso Johnson, Stanley Clark, Leland Sklar or the guys from Herbie Hancocks band, (who played on the album, "Rumpelstilskins Resolve) what to play, Steve Winwood and "Traffic" and Eric Clapton who all played on the first A&M album, "Contribution”. The litany of A-List players I've worked with are, at the beginning for the recording of every album, told that the basic song/chord structure is my vision of what it should sound like, now add your vision to what you think should be there. I will not record unless all the musicians that are going to play are in the same room at the time of recording. There’s no magic or spontaneous creative improvisation when each player adds to a piece of music from something played the day before, as is done by most musicians today.
