Back in May 2019, I was staying with my good friend Ted Sidelinger In Nashville and one morning I wrote the lyrics to "A Better World". Later that day I visited my friend Sandy Smolen and showed them to him and a short time after that Sandy came up with the melody. The rest, as they say, is history. Cindy Hall recorded the song at Funhouse Studios under the watchful eye of producer Ernie Rowell and the new recording was officially released on the SJM label on 4th June 2021. All royalties on that recording were to be donated to charities supporting the sustainability of our planet and accordingly the song was released on World Environment Day, June 5th 2021. We set an ambitious target to reach ONE MILLION plays/streams within the first year. With a couple of weeks still to go we have achieved that target and more. I cannot thank everyone enough who has been involved in any way, including everyone who has helped to reach the target by sharing the song on their Social Media sites.
