I really liked the music and lyrics. The vocal lays perfect in the track. The mandolin is awesome. The only thing negative I noticed is that there were places where the backing vocals strayed from the lead vocalist and we’re loose in spots. As a studio artist, it’s very important for the backing voices to match the lead vocalist as closely as possible so the listener is not distracted from the lyric. Otherwise very nice dong! Congrats!

The lyrics to this song are so relatable and very poignant, straight from the heart. The mandolin gives the song a very sweet feel. I think it wouldn't hurt though to have more orchestra instrumentation to give it a fuller and deeper sound and make the song feel a big richer. Good job on the lyrics.

On the positive, pitch was good, vocal was smooth and easy to listen to. The lyric was also written well. For such a powerful lyric, (in my professional opinion), I was hoping for just as powerful of soundscape. Ballads are for "lazy" slow moving lyrics. And ballads aren't for everyone. Had I not been singer/songwriter and in production myself, and only been a "lay" person, without a chorus "lift" i would have honestly moved on. The production, NOT the singer or writer made the difference between this song being good, and being great. Best of luck. I'm going to look for other of your works. I like your voice. The introduction of this song titled "Second Chances" has a smooth soothing tone that leads you into the lyrics nicely. The lyrics are pure and I can feel that it came from the heart as each line can be related to everyone who has been in a relationship. As for the singer, his voice was simple , not meant in a negative way, but more like he was telling a story and rather than singing a song. Overall, the song has substance and I would listen to it again as it does relay a message that everyone can relate to. As I wrote earlier, soothing to the ear and has a solid lyrics that makes you reflect on your own life.

This is a well written song with very smooth harmonies throughout the melody. The recording quality is done well and the time of three minutes is optimal for the listener. Although it isn't what the country market is looking for at this time, it has a strong traditional appeal that reaches those that can relate to its theme. You obviously have been writing and playing awhile and it shows in the arrangement. Keep doing so and good luck in the future!

excellent production I would consider this a folk song rather than country per se The hook seems to be "moving" and pretty hard to determine until the end. Very interesting and different vocal style, almost English rather than American. Heartfelt, reflective performance. Craig

Beautiful opening and soft lead up to a thoughtful chorus. Second Chances is yet another masterpiece with incredible vocals with heartfelt overtones and truth. Subtle ending, too. Easy listening country at its finest, as always and forever.

This is what you get if you take your song to a pro studio. You get a well produced and balanced recording with good sound. Whether you use session musicians or bring your own band the result will always be way better than trying to do this at home. it´s great to have the opportunity to record ideas, checking out harms etc. at home. I often do that with my own songs using a well known recording software. Especially in these days it´s both safe and easy to send recorded files for example to members of your band or to a studio for mixing etc. So, take a listen to this well produced recording and you will hear that it´s worth both the money and time. Great message, vintage sound, meaningful lyrics, amazing mandolin and strings arrangement. This song takes me back to the era of the variety and set shows of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Enjoyed it!
