I usually grade a song on 3 points. Lyrical content, tone, and delivery. 1 is bad and 5 is good. In this case the song is a live jazz performance recording which is rather refreshing. I went to college in New Orleans, LA. I’ve seen a lot of jazz performances. Just looking at the wave file in the track player above let’s me know the audio quality is not professional grade, which is completely understandable. Taking that into consideration your grade is 4.5 for lyrical content, 4 points for tone, 4 points for delivery. Songs pretty awesome actually hopefully you got it released as a single. This is a great song. It has a nice groove and feels of authentic R&B. The harmonic progression of the piano is very nicely structured. It reminds me of Donny Hathaway singing along with the piano played by himself. Drums, good and tight. I must, however, say that you need a bass player. The left hand of the piano is very nice but not strong enough to keep the bottom-line of this song in a way that I think it should be. In case you want to go without a bass player, drums should use brushes and the piano should play the lower ends much more like Richard Tee. Well, just a little idea. I like the song anyway.

This is a sweet little Gem of a song. Needs a little acoustic bass and maybe a saxophone or horn to give it a sustained background. The piano is very fluid and well done. The riffing is really special. Really enjoyed your vocal.
