Shanda has a nice and special voice.. I think the reverb is a bit too heavy.. could be better with a bit of delay and some more compressor.. The vocal is a bit distorted .. Otherwise it's a nice track..

When I looked at the Tags and then listened I couldn't really place it into a category to better rate the track itself. I think selecting Tas that fit the true motivation behind the song and expected audience reach would help every time. Keep doing your thing though so don't tkae it too critical.

Nice and laidback sound world. There is some effect in vocals which I find a bit strange. Vocal range is wide and works well in this song. Lyrics sound wise and inspiring. Very nice track and I see it is radio ready as well.

The song is really cool. BUT it seems like the mix is mono instead of stereo. All the music and vocals are in the middle of the stereo field which is really distracting. There is a low level his in the background which takes away from the sound as well. Most of the vocals were really nice, but somewhere towards the end of the song, there is a flat note or two. I would redo the mix or re lay down the instrumental and vocals again and mix it because the tune is fly!

Good touching vocal performance with a minimal arrangement. More mood song than pop. More sound painting than for clapping hands. If you really want to make a pop song out of it you will need to make an instrumental arrangement and trim it to a radio fit pop production. Nevertheless I could imagine this recording as music for movie or tv film. I would make more out of this voice. This is your strength.

Motivation Shanda Love OK so when I saw the title to this song ! "Motivation" I thought OK so this is going to be one of those workout gym pumping types of pop songs. But then I hit the play button and the lights go out and there is only a single candle lit I think I need some sleep goodnight. Then it even said write an honest review? Are you sure about this? Well OK it seems to me the music and well everything other than the voice and lyrics could be canned and replaced with a high energy pumping pop dance able beat the voice quality seems good the picture is good. There is of course a large sort of market for this laid back hip hop thing going on but I just see the song some place completely different. The picture is labelled Afro american I've always wondered what the point in people who call themselves African american when most of these people have never been in Africa and not their parent and probably not their grandparents. Is it the dream of starvation in Ethiopia with breast hanging down to your knees? How about a bone piercing through the nose? OK WAIT I'll stop right there and look on youtube well I found workout music source for alot of OK Ideas but a more important listen would probably be Amii Stewart knock on wood OK? sO somewhere in between Ammi and the newer stuff. I like the message of the song and the way that it encourages listeners to believe in themselves and to keep motivated in their endeavors. Your voice is very beautiful and has a very pleasant tone. the chorus or the "hook" is clearly established and is definitely the driving force of the song, as it should be. i also believe that the song is very under produced. it needs a real rhythm section to accent what the vocals are doing. a hip-hop beat would Definitely do the trick. there is some distortion on the lead vocal track that should be eliminated. there are a few slight pitch issues in the background vocals that can be easily corrected as well. additionally, i would also encourage some vocal ad-libs at the end of the tune. great job overall.

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song we have a modern day Adelle crossed with Brandy and Diana Ross all rolled into one delightful package. Production wise this song suffers through the mixing, but the lead vocals by Shanda are sweet and lovely. The harmonies don't delight, but I appreciate the direction you're heading. Nice effort!

Shanda Love has a special and unique vocal projection. The lyrics come from the heart and touching the soul. The chorus makes the meaning of the song engaging for me, but the track doesn´t sound really as finished product. Even so a good job and great talent for a self-produced recording. If you likewise add, let others know your recommendation.

I'm not a big fan of this genre but I think Shanda Love has made a very good job with this "Motivation". Maybe the song is a little too short: since it is very relaxing, I would have appreciated it to last a little longer.
