Christmas greetings, friends and fans
We wanted to wish you our supporters, now almost a thousand strong, a joyous Christmas in spite of all the enemy's attempts to ruin it by terror. We will all get through it, I am convinced, after reading God's loveletter to us- the bible.
On a happier note, we are excited by the notice we received that both versions of Weekend Warrior are steadily climbing the charts. Bet you didn't know there were two versions out there. The first, recorded with my friend Tyler De Voll and I in his bedroom on ProTools with my little ole Line 6 Spider amp and my trusty Rogue acoustic electric guitar, an Ibanez bass and canned drums was the first. And next, we reached across the miles and overseas to both Germany and Florida, USA to enlist the kind help of Goran Rista- of Beat Buddy fame and Jogi Vetter- a guitar virtuoso in my book.Have a listen and see if YOU can pick out the differences in recordings. Just for info, the earlier version now charts at #42 and the second at#71, so that tells me my listening autantalyhe first, kind of milder rock, and in the second, more geared towards alternative and a younger demographic. Do you agree? Let us know, we are very interested in why the trend towards the popularity of the first version with Wes on lead guitar
And with that, keep watching for the latest and (we hope) greatest single called Color Me Gone- a tongue-in-cheek poke at usedta-been rockers aging and feeling left out. But watch for the the tantalyzing twist we put on the story for the music video soon to be released on Youtube.
And with that, friends and fans, keep on rockin'.. and PEACE in 2016 and beyond!
