About Singrlice

Arts organization „Singrlice“(Singirls) was formed in 2006 and consists of girls with years of experience from various folk ensembles. They were drawn together by the idea of combining modern music with traditional folk songs, with the goal of bringing the music closer to a wider public.
The girls have crowned their love for folk music with a collection of tunes, mainly from the kajkavian region, respecting the originality and richness of the songs but combining them with modern arrangement.
Leader of the ensemble is the experienced musical educationalist Tomislav Jozić, who joined folk music players with interpreters of classical music as well as pop artists, some of which are members of Cubismo and Sick Swing Orchestra.
Singirls have so far published albums “Singrlice” in 2008, Aquarius Records, for which they received a nomination for the Porin music award in the category for the best ethno album of 2009 and the album “Made in tradicija” in 2010, Aquarius Records, for which they won the Porin music award for the best ethno album of the year, and “Ajde cure u…”, in 2016, for which they won the Porin music award for the best ethno album of the year.
