Sistah Beauty & Bandz
Sistah Beauty was introduced to Reggae Music in 1992 by King Caleb of Black Spades Records. Beauty performed her first single "Queen To Be", while working with artists both local and international. Beauty opened for De'zerie of St. Croix, later working with Glen Washington; Eddie Fitzroy; Maxi Priest; Queen Omega and Marcia Griffin of "Bob Marley&The Wailers". Sistah Beauty is a formal member of Lagos Roots Afro-beat Ensemble. Lagos Roots have members such as Sunny Okosuns and Friday Jumbo of Afrika 70; guitarist and percussionist master drummer of the Black President, FELA KUTI. Sistah Beauty's most recent work embraces dance-hall; r&b and hip-hop. All will be able to explore these avenues through her long awaited first album, titled, " What's My Name ". It will be released early in 2014 by her new company, Steady Rising Productions as the first project and artist from the label. Sistah Beauty, many would say she is rising.
