Take My Time Pt 1
Really good song, I like the guitar riff in the verse and the solo bits which I think should be a bit longer, the vocal is sung really well, and the drums are played well too, the mix is excellent you can hear everything pretty clear, nothing to fault with this song in my opinion it's great, good luck.

Interesting Song
The beginning gets my attention very well and sounds good. I am going to give advice that I give a lot. Turn up the vocals a little. This will improve the commercial potential a lot. The human voice is the most important instrument. Good words here. Very poetic. The mix seems a little muddy because of so much middle tones. Some high tones throughout would brighten the song and might help people to be able to hear the bass which appears to be nonexistent. This sense of clarity and space in the song would make it much crisper.

Good intro and lick. First half of the song made me reminisce a little Ozzie with that flat melody line. Nothing much stood out until you guys kicked it into gear in the 2nd half. Great syncopated drumming. Good production over all but less effects would clean it up a bit. Overall, good lyrics and arrangement but could use a stronger melody. Well done to the band!

Very creative. I love your work. It drives me nut. The production is great. Your vocal is very powerful and you've just done justice to this song. I love the work of the guitar. The rolls are mad. Wonderful job

Hey... nice job overall. I did think the guitar was a bit weak and lacks some excitement. The voice was good but at times parts sounded like an afterthought. OK, the drums stood out here, very tight and above the rest of the sound. Good luck.

Hell yeah, boys!
This rocks. Great intro. Thunder bass drums, great drummer you got. Vinnie Paul-ish but laid back. Great band. Rhythm section making me hard. Great vocals. Mixed well. Superb song writing. Great performance. What can I say, This rocks. Keep doing what you do. See you at the top.

Great riff, cool vocals, didn't quite get the delayed vocal part in the pre-chorus, but the singer is good. The drummer over-plays a bit, but thats just personal taste. Overall, its a cool track and has some unexpected turns that keeps the song interesting......cool tune dudes!

Review of "Take My Time Pt. 1" by Magdalene's Revival
A well worked groove, very tight, very drum centred (possibly taking too much of the lime light) the bass was a little drowned out in the mix in parts. It would have been good to hear some harmonies to the vocals which were really good. Some very nice guitar work too. Good job!

Review of Take my Time Pt.1
First of all I really the singers voice. In genre where you can get away with a bad singer, getting a good one is something special. The guitar sounds good and crisp, I heard a little too much ping in the snare drum. I know a standard sound of this genre is to keep the guitar and bass locked in together to sound like one wall, but I think there is room to get more separation and texture between those instruments. All in all your band sounds terrific though.

I can tell this is a really good song, It is most likely just the recording that makes me think something is missing . You have all the right ingredients, Great Vocals, heavy guitar, bass and over the top drums. (I too am a drummer that tends to overplay the double bass) We all just want to do our best and be heard right? Overall I think you have a great song and band. You may want to re-mix or record the song so it can really sound as good as it should. Rock On!!

I like the attack of the drums but would like a bit more depth of tone to them (mainly referring to the kick drum). the breaks where the leads come in could sound a bit stronger, more bends with a bit more confidence will make the part pop live. Overall a cool sounding rock track. Good luck!

This tune is cool! Awesome guys! The guitars are awesome and the vocals are so good, such a good technical control on them. I guess you guys could work more on the dynamic but the song is pretty good, i don't think it needs any changes!

my review...
reminds me of robin trower... that's a compliment... i know they're trying to sound like alice in chains, too... should've stayed in the robin trower wheelhouse in my opinion... really good musicianship, professional vocals... if this were an ice skating competition, i would rate it 4.55 on artistic impression, and 5.85 on technical merit... on the old scale of ice skating judging, i forgot to mention... lol... that's out of six... so...

Wow... correct me, but I hear a Stone Temple Pilot flow. I really love the drive, the composition is courageous and the skill of the band pulls it off. Really dig the major shift towards the end. I love diversity in a groove. Now, if you are looking to improve this one I would suggest rehearsing it more. In certain places the vocals lose the pitch. This is a tuff composition so I can understand how it might happen. Lay back on the early parts and drive home toward the end. The vocs come out blazing, the human voice can only do so much. The other thing I would suggest is one additional riff with strong melodic mood, it need only last 4 bars or so, but it would lift the main drive and make ears thirsty for its return.

Take My Time Pt. 1
Song is a great standard for new Metal! Intro is very well done, and the drummer is grand on this song. Guitarist could be more clever tonewise. In the break he is all out front, and then fades away, in my opinion too far out of the mix! Starts out with a ton of mids and puts in too much treble.... never makes the statement that I know he is capable of! That's why I say 4.5. Let this lead guitarist off his chain, and you get a 5.0
