Hey, it's me Craig Johnstone, of Sledge Nicely and the Panty Bandits. Well, see that's the thing... I am no longer going by
"Sledge Nicely and the Panty Bandits", which, if you didn't know, is and has always been pretty much just me, Craig Johnstone. :)

I just felt I should say thank you to all of you subscribers here, and apologize for not being better with keeping you in the loop. I guess there hasn't been a lot to say... however... I have just purchased some new gear, and am starting a new recording project! I am very excited!!
I will keep you updated, I promise.

Smart, gritty & bent--"CradleRock" will be jubilantly hilarious to anyone who has been frustrated to tears, by what has been a relentless beating of the dead horse that has been popular music for the past couple of decades (as even genres become progressively and sadly less distinct). With even many of the "alternative" sounds today seeming spun-off and sterile,
this is a wonderful steaming turd, dropped amidst a putrid pile of polished plastic.

Craig J (Sledge Nicely)

I am planning to re-compile a collection of songs I recorded quite a few years back, with some help from my brother, playing some guitar and bass. We called it "This-z-This". I am going to get it on here very soon. I look forward to (and would much appreciate) your having a listen, and supplying some feedback! The songs my brother and I have done together tend to be a bit less experimental, generally, and a bit more straight-up Rock and Roll. I hope you like them!

Thanks everybody, you're all very kind! Sorry I am so bad at this part of things. Truth is, these little songs all came out of a sort of bent obsession I went thru a few years back, and I'm feeling much better now, haha!
I never expected much reaction out of other people. It was more of a flushing out of some mental-ness I had in me, paired with a desire to experiment with recording weird noises, hoping to end up with something I could pat myself on the back about. I wish I had been a bit more patient, had better gear, but I am glad that it sounds good enough that you listen to it and actually enjoy it...! I plan to take some special time before too long and let myself slip into another creative vortex of weirdness, for the sake of coming out with something good. Of course, you can`t really force these things...

Just wanted to send a quick message to say thank you to everybody for expressing interest in Sledge Nicely and the Panty Bandits, which is actually just me... Craig Johnstone. I recorded all the songs a few years ago, and this has been more of an experiment, than anything. So, needless to say, I am quite surprised! I may start recording some new songs, if there is continued interest.
