About smack

Founded 2002 in a living room by Danny d`amour and Sebastian k. who wanted to write some good music and have some fun smack started to be one of the most interesting elctro-pop bands in Germany. smack use little electronic stuff, larger guitars and their huge mouths.

2003:
• In october they release their 1. EP „homesick – sick of home“, and in december 2003 smack get the chance to play a support-show of the successfull german band Nova International.
2004:
• In spring they support another well known German band called Anajo and in march and October they play two small tours of the south of Germany and Austria.
2005:
• March they release the 2. EP „smacked in the eye“. Several gigs follow.
2006:
• In spring there is another small tour in Germany and some gigs in Austria.
2007:
• In january the 3. EP „the hinge“ is released and in april the song “smacked in the eye” is picked for a tv-commercial for „triumph int.“ in greece and cypris In october smack make it to the finals of a german video contest of the Jägermeister ROCK:LIGA with their song „we travel“.
2008:
• In august the japanse Label “towntone” releases the first smack album “homesick”.
• In december they win a national video-contest called the “merry bunny contest” on (expired link) with their video for “lovely”. With the same video they get to the finals of another video-competiti
