It is truly, truly fascinating and awesome and every possible positive adjective I can think of to see folks from Canada to Australia and all over this huge globe of ours adding yourselves to the list. We are in the midst of building a lot of NEW content to keep you all up to date on SmartBlackKid. Our latest project is a documentary about the artist scheduled for release this summer under the working title "Queen City Alchemist". For those who don't know, Hakhi Alakhun, lead singer, writer, guitarist and producer of SmartBlackKid is from Buffalo, New York. Buffalo was once the largest and most prosperous city at the end of the 1800s and was referred to as the Queen City of the Great Lakes; with Chicago being the King City of the Great Lakes. That being said, Hakhi is an artist who is the personification of change and transformation; like that of an alchemist who turns base medals into gold. His story is one of triumph out of poverty and socio-economic deprivation using the tools of art, music, self expression, spirituality and self education. It is a very inspiring story and one that needs to be told for today's generation.
